External wall insulation completed in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
We were contacted by this customer because her 1970s house was not keeping warm during the colder months.
After conducting a site survey we found no insulation within the large box dormer window, neither did we find any in the cavity wall.
The solution was to remove all of the old hanging tiles from the box dormer, exposing the main structure. We then fully insulated all the voids, and applied, a breathable membrane followed by a structural render carrier board, followed by the pre-coloured silicone render as in the photos.
