This modest three-bedroom semi-detached house, built in the 1920s, featured a solid wall construction with no cavity or insulation. As a result, it suffered from mould, damp walls, and high energy bills due to significant heat loss through the external walls.
Before our intervention, the property was losing approximately 40% of its heat through the walls. To resolve this issue, we installed high-performance external wall insulation, dramatically improving the home’s energy efficiency. Alongside the insulation work, we applied a pre-coloured silicone render, providing a durable, modern finish while enhancing the property’s thermal performance.
This upgrade not only improves comfort and reduces heating costs but also preserves the character of this period home, ensuring it remains both efficient and visually appealing for years to come.
