Key Features & Benefits

1. Insulate Your Property To Make It Energy Efficient

A good quality exterior rendering will make your house much more energy efficient. External home rendering is ideal for adding insulation to properties that have solid wall construction.

2. Protect Your Property Against Wind And Rain

Your external wall rendering is the first line of defence for your property against water ingress and penetrating damp issues. This means that the exterior rendering will protect the underlying material against the effects of bad weather and rainwater.

3. Enhances The Look Of Your Home

Whether you're looking for an outdoor makeover or looking to upgrade your home without breaking the bank, rendering has a lot to offer.

It just takes the look of your house on the next level of luxury and modernity. You can either opt-with whole-house cladding, or you can have partial rendering in conjunction with another form of house cladding, such as brick or timber.

4. Hide Poor-Quality Brickwork

The exterior rendering provides an easy way to cover up an unattractive, poor-quality or mismatched brickwork with a crisp and simple finish to your modern house design.

And you can forget the mistakes of brickwork and obtain a smooth finish that can be painted later if necessary. Whether the walls were originally constructed with cheap brick or stone, of poor quality, soft; the exterior rendering can hide the poor brickwork beneath. So don't worry about the fatigue of a building because the rendering can brighten it, transform its appearance, and make it modern and more visually attractive.

5. Adding Value To Your Property

A new render is one of the cheapest ways to increase the attractiveness of your home and add value to your property. With a huge collection of textures, finishes and a wide range of colours, you can obtain a multitude of possibilities during the rendering of your house.

6. Cost-Effective

In comparison to other types of cladding, the average cost of rendering a house is way low making it a highly cost-effective solution. The cost of rendering in the UK stands as low as £40 to as high as £65 per square meter; but it depends on the requirement of surface preparation, several coats, and the type of render.

7. You Can Forget About Painting

Unlike traditional paint, pre-coloured renderings have long lasting colours of over 25 years without fading. The renders are pre-coloured and are very stable in UV light.

Silicone Thin Coat Renders

This type of render offers by far the best performing properties an external render can offer. Applied correctly onto many types of background, a silicone render offers a maintenance free, crack free future!

It can also have an added ingredient to make it self-cleaning. The 'Rolls Royce' of renders; this system must only be applied by licensed card holders like WP Rendering.

Sand And Cement

Traditional renders consist of sharp washed sand, Portland cement and hydrated lime. The proportions of each depend on the type of wall and the level of exposure to weather.

Stainless steel or plastic rendering beads are fixed to corners for protection; bell cast beads are fixed above damp proof course, windows and doors to protect them, and to deflect rainwater.

Coloured Monocouche Render

This is a pre-mixed, cementitious, weather-resistant, external decorative, pigmented render, suitable for most types of brick or blockwork. This is machine applied, allowing for fast application with shorter programme periods, thereby reducing associated scaffolding and site costs.

Lime Render

This is traditionally applied to buildings to give protection to walls that are built of poor quality rubble stones or porous bricks, or to walls in exposed locations facing driving winds.

This particular type of render helps by acting like a sponge, absorbing rainfall and then allowing it to evaporate, rather than soaking into the wall. We can utilise this type of render on both restoration and new build projects.
